Cause I know how much Scott hates to be photographed. I had to put this photo up.

Biker Babies

We just printed these last night for Dad's shop. We decided the boys needed the first two off the press.

Spencer on the Move

Ok, I'm too busy to get the video up so here are some pics. Spencer hates to try and crawl on his knees so he tries to crawl on his feet... well, he tries to walk w/ his hands on the ground... it's very cute. He's also able to pull himself up on to things now, like the ottoman, people, crib, etc.

Current Pics of the Boys

Zachy has been a little monster lately. Terrible twos... oh my!

Spencer says heck with crawling... he's just gonna start running.

Spud can sit up from a down and somehow move across the room w/ out crawling. Trying to get some video online later...

He sure takes after his daddy.

The Never Ending Project

I don't think we're ever going to be done w/ our yard. Eric and Scott have been busy cleaning up the rest of the flower beds. Removing weeds, edging, barking and planting for me.

I went to the Old Valley Farm Nursery yesterday. They're a local wholesale nursery that opened to the public this year. Got some awesome grasses, sedum and yarrow. Hey Mom, they take in interns from the BSU horticulture program... hint hint.

I really like how the sedum and grasses go together. I think I'll do alot more of them in the garden.

All About Spencer

Spencer is getting so big. He has his first two teeth on the bottom and he can roll over now. At his last doctor's appt. he was 19lbs. He's in the 90th percentile for height and weight.

Dogs Got a Badger

First thing yesterday morning I heard the dogs barking and yelping out in the yard. The grass is real tall so I couldn't see much. I thought it was a snake but then I saw some kind of creature thrashing around. I freaked out and called up to Eric who was still in bed.

He jumped out of bed and road out on his atv barefoot. It was a badger. By then Daisy had retreated from the fight and it was Lucy and Abby. Lucy would back off when Eric yelled at her but Abby just wouldn't give up. The badger was tearing her up. They were locked together at the mouth and the badger kept clawing her face.

Jack came over and the dogs finally let go and the damn thing ran under Eric's atv. He gave Jack his gun and drove away. It took 3 bullets to kill the damn thing.

Well, I just got a notice saying Daisy is due for her rabies so this concerned me. I spent all morning calling everywhere to see how to get the badger tested. So it turns out we had to take the badger to the vets office so they could cut off it's head. I then had to drive down to the Department of Agriculture so they could remove the brains and send them to the Health Department.... So in a couple days we should get the results. I don't think it was rabid but better safe than sorry... What a day.

Please Comment! and other stuff....

First off, if you come and see a new post, just comment on it so I know you were here. It makes me feel like it's worth while posting all these pics.

Second... I haven't written much lately. It's alot easier to just throw up a few pics than actually sit and write a bunch of stuff. Since this is really the only baby book I have for the kids, I thought it might be good to start writing more. So here's what's been happening lately...

Spencer
Spencer is getting big!! He's wearing 12-18 mo tops and a 6-12 mo bottoms. We have to get him a new carseat soon... he's too big for the carrier, his little legs almost come out. He's not rolling over yet or sitting up on his own. He loves to stand instead of sit so we hold him up alot. He laughs and giggles alot. Is generally a little cutie. He mooches anytime he sees us eating. He really wants to eat. So far he's had bananas, apple sauce, popsicle, yogurt and a few things he's not supposed to like sucking on sour candies and cookies. Spencer will be 5mo next Tuesday.

Zachary
Zach is getting quite a vocabulary. He can pretty much mimic any word now and quickly picks up on meanings. He is finally saying "Yes" as well as "No" which he mastered some time ago. He's getting closer and closer to potty training. He will grab a diaper, sit down and say "change diaper"... of course this is when he's really wet. The rest of the time he runs from us. He loves all things "boy" - tractors, trucks, planes, trains, cars, etc. His favorite words are "Big Tractor" and "Woody Buzz"... he's a Toy Story addict. His favorite foods are string cheese, tomatoes, and suckers... oh and sour candies. Zachary will be 22 months on Sunday.

Amanda
Amanda just had her 13th birthday. Finally a teenager... lucky us :o) She brought a friend to Olive Garden and we had a big birthday dinner for her. She's with her mom for the next month. She has a new little sister named Katie. She was very excited about it... she finally has a sister.

Spencer 4 Months

Spencer is now 4 months old (yesterday). Here are some photos I took this morning.

Daddy can get him to giggle. Mommy has a harder time.

Not rolling over yet but getting close. He doesn't usually like to lay on his tummy.

He's a bit chunky. Look at those arms.

Cowboy Zach

Zachary reading Nascar magazine after breakfast this morning. Daddy's proud.

Gotta love his new cowboy hat.

Our Yard

We got our landscape plans a few weeks ago from our designer Ryan. He came up with some great plants for our yard. The boys (Eric and Scott) have been hard at work preparing the beds and planting. We just got bark delivered a couple days ago and they finished filling the cleared beds this morning. It's starting to come together.

So far we've just go the front done on the one side. Still have to fill in with more shrubs and flowers but it's a start.

Lots of flowers will be going in this area and the front will be filled with cranberry cotoneaster (ka-tone-ee-aster) to hold up the hillside. It a low ground hugging reddish shrub w/ berries.

Again, more flowers and aster goes in this front area.

Annual Sheep Drive

Each spring a big sheep ranch nearby drives their sheep through the BLM land down to get sheared. Today is the day. There's hundred's of sheep behind our house. I looked out the window and they were just there.

There's only one man that we can see and he has 3 border collies herding the sheep. There are also 2 other big white dogs that are just part of the herd. Jack says they are there to protect the sheep from predators.

Zach thinks it's really cool. He was baaaa'ing and saying 'sheep'. So cool... this is why we moved to Idaho. You don't get this on Pacheco Blvd.
